    Long time ago since I had seen it so I picked this up at a discounted price.
    Nearly forgot how scary or rather intense the movie is. Guess everybody knows it so not much I need to say.
    I did however notice some noise and break-ups (pixelation), not sure if it's the player having problems (always happended at the same places when I tried) or if the disc is faulty, well, flawed.
    Some extras are thrown in and menus are animated.

    * * * * 1/2 out of 5

    So, should I get "Hannibal"?

    I have the criterion version of silence and the quality is not fantastic - I believe the region 2 release is better. The criterion is worth having though just for the great commentary track with jodie foster.

    As for Hannibal. Well I guess it is a matter of choice. I love Ridley Scott and so was really looking forward to this film, but have to admit to being a little disappointed in it. It definitely is not as good a film as silence :)

    Hannibal wasnt too bad. I think people had high expectations.
    You can pick up the region 2 Hannibal for around a tenner now.

    Hannibal was turd, it took all the suspense out of the story and turned it into an action flick with a hero and anti-hero and a pointless love story. That Ray Liotta brain bit was just stupid and poorly done with CGI.
    Manhunter is great yes, this Red Dragon remake does not bode well... I will have to get the R2 SE
