Well, had a boring weekend so I watched two movies. Hm, first I thought this movie isn't even listed at IMDB even though it stars Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. But it turns out it was made in 2000 already: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0164212

Anyhow, I found this to a gripping thriller. Kind of courtroom drama set in a police station.
Gene Hackman get's called in by the chief of police (MF) to clarify a few things in the murder case of a girl.
Slowly inconsistencies unfold in his statements and he becomes the main suspect.
What was to take 10 minutes will take much longer, the police digs deeper and deeper into his family and private life to uncover some shocking truths of someone who is supposed to be a reputable person.
Even his wife will get involved in the interview and things get worst - until the surprising confession.

No action but rather character driven this makes good entertainment if you like this kind of movies.

* * * * out of 5

Leaves just one question: what happened to the dog!? ;)
