started off quite well but rapidly went downhill

the final third was a complete shambles

I don't understand some of the scariest film ever quotes. Sure it has a few made to make you jump scenes and some very gory moments, but scary no way.

I think the locals really were that judging by their acting skills.

One to avoid I would say

Seen this too..........What a load of crap!!!!!!!
How do some so called film critics actualy think this is scary/tense.
Aintitcool said it was the best horror from the last few years:eek:
This has to be the biggest joke of all time?I dont recall one even minutely
scary moment. The film is not bad,its bloody awful:nono:
A horror movie is ment to contain some blood, jumpy moments and lots of killings, but while this does have killings and blood,it is mostly caused by the 'fever'as in the title. There is more gore in an episode of casualty:devil:
Why do these so called horrors keep getting made?Blair witch was atleast original and did have some effect (due to the way it was filmed!!)but the type of horror these days is just either repackaged rubbish from the 70/80s or needless new style teen screams with absolutely NO horror!!
Lets hope that there is some decent horror to come from hollywood, but seeing as Texas chainsaw has been remade:rolleyes: i'd very much doubt it.
Atleaset there is always japenese horror to make us jump:devil:

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CABIN FEVER:mad:

I just do not understand the pretty decent reviews it has had across the board

They obviously threw one hell of a press screening

I did think the dark haired girl was rather actractive and she wasn't shy. So it wasn't all bad.

I agree an awful film. I was really looking forward to it as well. The DVD menu even gave away the bathtub scene as well! That may have been good if I hadn't known what was going to happen!. I much preferred Wrong Turn & would recommend that over cabin Fever anyday.

is it even possible to make a really scary film these days? I think we've all been desensatised too much.

For me a good horror film isn't about jumpy bits and gore, it's about the concept. for example 28 days later, night of the living dead, a nightmare on elm street. these are scary because of the concept and that's what i enjoy.

In this respect I enjoyed cabin fever as the concept was good.
