Just seen: 30" LCD and 32" Plasma

    Strolling around a department store yesterday and crossed the electronics department (of course!), lot's of plasmas and a 30" LDC "Aquos" 16:9 screen from Sharp.
    Not bad, actually quite good - not much fizzing noticable, in fact you must go very close to see any at all.
    Compared to the older (4:3) models I would consider it neglectable.
    Excellent sharpness but colors weren't as vibrant as the plasma beside it.

    As well they did have a 32" plasma from a rather unknown company (so unknown I can't even recall the name). Though the picture wasn't bad it lacked true black and at around EUR5000 it was still a tad expensive, at least considering the small size.

    As for the plasmas Panasonic's 4th generation models (37" & 42" but not 50"!) were the only ones which could interest me though they are way too expensive here. :(

    All displays were fed by a HDTV source btw.
