DHL have just delivered my jap alien limited head set(2 days from japan to england!!) and it is a superb set.
The box this comes is a cardboard type with a carry strap with the picture and description of this ultimate set all over (japanese of course)
On opening you are presented with the box set of the film in one pocket of the box,to the right is a kubrick alien doll and on top is the superb alien head.
This is all encased in a polystyrene inner case to prevent any damage during transit
Until you actually see this you wont realize how cool this set is and although the kill bill set was good this is awesome!!
Only problem now is when i get the customs demand from DHL(next week likely!!)
Glad i ordered this very early

Afraid it has been sold out everyone for months mate so you best chance would be eBay but I wouldnt be suprised if they were going for £500+

Also, the Japanese releases of the films dont have 2 versions of each film on the Disc, only one but they do each have a DTS track.

The Japanese quadrilogy does have the theatrical and exstended versions for Alien and Alien Resurection, however Aliens & Aliens 3 have had the theatrical versions dropped for the inclusion of a dts track. It's a trade off I'm afraid as the dts audio does take a fair amount of compression space.

Oh, I read a review of the Japanese Alien Quadrilogy and it said that all the films only had 1 version of the film on them, guess they had it wrong.

With every one talking about this I had to go source one for myself. Luckily found my local well not so local however my regular dvd supplier based in london had a few left in his shop. At least his prices are very comparable to some of the online etailers and not taking the **** like a few of those other west end outlets.

I managed to get hold of one before they sold out everywhere, tis very nice.

I payed 250 for mine from dvdslimited, a hefty price but considering the small amount made I dont begrudge paying it really :)
I think you may well struggle to find them for much less than 500 now,I'm sure there will be a few on ebay in the coming months and I expect they also will fetch a pretty penny.

Hi, I ordered my Japanese Alien box set from Jason at Raven Games, London a
couple of weeks ago and have already had it delivered on Wednesday morning, 11 Aug.

Great service & the box arrived very well double packed, everything in perfect condition.

Brilliant extras, especially the Production section of Alien 3.
    (It wasn't Fincher's fault!)
Menus all in Japanese of course but can be figured out easily enough.

At £299 for a bunch of dvds & big rubber box this may seem like a case of too much money & not enough sense, but for a movie geek like me, with too much money & not enough sense, it's a cool thing.

I don't know if Raven Games can still get them, but if you're into silly but cool movie packaging & want to really see how these movies were made, then just buy it & sacrifice non-essentials like food & heating.

    LC

I also have one of these that I am willing to part with. Was tempted to use ebay but don't really trust it.
I can send pictures if interested
