    Hello all,

Well i just ordered my VSX2011 which they have in stock :D and should be with me in a couple of days...

Wooohooo i managed to get it for a great price and if they do produce the goods which they assured they will. I will let you all know and you can order one also :) if you want to of course.

After hearing all these stories of people waiting (really feel for you people) i am just hoping its not too good to be true. I will post the link if i am allowed (as i am not sure what the rules are on here re forum sponsors and such) if they fulfill there promise.

This post isnt meant as some kind of attempt at winding people up just wanted to make sure they came through before i let you all know.

Any words of wisdom from people who have gone through setting it up etc etc?

    Mog

Mine cost approx £700 with postage which i didnt mind paying as they had it in stock and should be with me in a couple of days i hope.

I am based over here in NL and bought it online from a dutch website which do ship to the UK i may add. Considering shipping to the UK with UPS with insurance costs £30 it all depends if you want to do that i suppose? I know how hard it can be to source one out in the uk at the moment.

    Mog

Ps not exactly sure where it is made as i havent got it yet... Hopefully should have it by thursday.

Ìt seems that UK prices have been dropping considerably. (or the euro has been going up...)

Anyway, 700£ is about 994,- €, so where did you find the 2011 in The Netherlands? The lowest I could find it was around 1050 euro. Thx. Sven

I also bought my receiver in EmpireDirect. The unit is not available in their web... you've got to phone them.

Yes, I had to do that.
Pioneer have told e-tailers to remove it from their sites, according to Robert Whytes in Glasgow.

Overlord, I must give my thanks.

I had been waiting for over a month for my 2011 from QED with no delivery in site. I saw your post, cancelled from QED and ordered from multiregiondvd and received my 2011 within 20 hours and it was £20 cheaper.

    Thanks again

Why everybody facied buying 2011? I guess we've got money to throw...

I have a problem with my SL/SR using 2011. The surrounds are not that louder than my front and even hardly to hear the surround sounds although I used auto MCACC, boost the dynamic range and even used the expert set-up.

    My speakers are...
    B&W DM602, 601,LCR60 and ASW600

    Any suggestions?

Why don't you just manually turn up the dB for the SL and SR channels using the Normal setup, or if they are already on their highest volumes, turn down the other channels?

I also want one of these but tbh if they dont sort out supply I will go for No2 on my list which is the Denon 3803.

Pioneer are shooting themselves in the foot here but I guess the demand will get higher as the supply gets smaller!!

What dB level settings do you have each of your speakers on at the moment under the "Normal" setup on the menu system?

good look in your quest Supernosh... i'm sure you'll find one,, all part of the fun imho.
I phoned Pioneer yesterday, they said the unit is still current, and they are definatley still supplying it.
Give Empire Direct a try... you will have to phone em' as they have removed the model from their site.
That's if your prepared to wait until at least Aug.

IVe just got a DV656 DVD Aud/Vid player to complement it... a smashing pair.

Just need a 50" Plasma screen now...

    Hello,

Well it arrived... I picked it up...(one word of warning carrying this it back from the depot (2 min walk) seemed like a marathon it weighs about 25kgs all in. Well at least i wont need to goto the gym for a couple of days!

What can i say early impressions.. very impressive and the auto feature truly is very funky indeed.

Anyways... i used a site called http://www.kieskeurig.nl/ for the dutchies out there. Select what your looking for.. then an option called Prijsvergelijk. Once your there select the make and model your after and it will list all the places and prices :). I got it from a place called www.diga4u.nl the only place i could find that had it in stock. They even gave me a nice discount  .

Good luck in your search everyone.

I had a look at the VSX-D2011 - not a bad price for those of us in € land - now, if I could only read Dutch! :clown:

:smashin: Hope it sounds as good as they say it does as I'm looking for an upgrade myself. Still using Yamaha DSP-E580 prologic processor with integrated Rotel amp. Don't want to sacrifice stereo quality for digital surround but these new amps from Denon, Marantz and Pioneer might be worth further investigation.
