I went for the Pioneer because I'm currently using a 43 inch Pioneer plasma (PDP433HDE) and it's just turned 5 years old. I've never had any trouble with it so thought I'd stick with it.

Thanks for letting me know there's a review, I'll give it a read

The best circumstance to upgrade, those, as you get a lot of pleasure out of replacing a trusted old set if nothing else because you get such a clear improvement in PQ and/or facilities. :) I can only afford a 428(0) but it's still a Kuro! And I'm very hopeful of tv happiness after a six year stretch with a 40 inch rear pro...

In two years time, when the 60" sets have dropped to £1500, I'm going to email you to tell you I've bought one. Dirt cheap! :)

Oh, and I'm going to email your wife, too. :)

How can you be so cruel? You don't need to tell my Wife, can't it just be our dirty little secret, she never has to know :)
