I have taken the big plunge and gone for the Toshiba Rdxs32 from Digital Direct for £365 inc postage. It better be good! :D

Has anyone used Digital Direct before?

What cables do i now need to buy?

I want to record from a normal Grundig sky box.

    Any info appreciated.

Yeah, that is what they told me as well, a few minutes ago. At least they phone to say they gonna be late. Now let's hope they not trying to buy time. I suppose they can't keep them in stock, otherwise it would hard for them to make a margin with the cheap prices they offering.

I have spoken to one guy who have order a few things from them, he was happy with their service.

I've got one and it's really good. The manual is absolutely terrible!! If you've got a SCART socket on your sky box, and 2 scart sockets on your tv, then connect them all using scart leads for good quality. I use HDD a lot, kind of like a VCR, but more flexible.

One thing I haven't found is an easy way of putting in a recording. You can use videoplus+ or put in the times, channel etc. like a VCR, but it gives you no title, which then has to be put in manually.

They said next week. I ordered on Saterday 16/10/2004.

I think they only order from the factory once they have a firm order from a client and thus the reason why they so cheap, so no need to keep stock. I have no problem with that, willing to wait a week if I'm saving £50+ :D

    Mean while go to
    http://www.home-entertainment.toshi...vdrecorders-dvdrecorders-rd-xs32?opendocument
and download the manuals. I've read them and doesn't seem to be that complicated.

Tell me when you have yours. :smoke:

MKA TV were selling the TOSH for £299 + £9.99 Del. but i believe they may have already sold out. They were also selling the TOSH on Ebay for the same price/Del but the warranty offered is 6 months, not 12.
