    Hi guys

I've just dumped Sky as I find myself hardly watching TV these days and when I do the show is usually on a free channel anyway. I'm looking for a receiver to replace my Sky box. It would need to have series link, a 7 day EPG, PVR and HD.

Ideally I'd like the receiver to have iPlayer, etc.. but it's not essential.

Not looking to spend a fortune either. :p

    Thanks in advance.

No one ever is. But you can't get what you want for a pittance which would be to carry on using your sky box as a fta receiver.

For a few months sky subs you could buy a Humax PVR which does what you want.

    Any particular model you'd suggest?

The Humax Foxsat HDR for £130 from Humax Direct is hard to beat.

If you can afford it, go for the 1 tb HDR 1000s. Go to Humax managers specials website for a bargain and 12 months warranty. You'll not look back

Thanks for the replies, I think I'll go with the HDR 1000.
