Hi guys,
Apologies for any lack of etiquette (if any) I’m new here.
I’m buying a new house soon and my new living room will finally be large enough to shoe horn atmos into it. I’m planning on a 7.2.4 setup.
From what I’ve read, Klipsch subs are a bit on the dud side and SVS are where it’s at …But sound quality isn't going to be the only factor here, I need to convince Mrs Luckosaurous to allow me have them pride of place in the living room, and let’s be honest SVS aren’t the prettiest bits of kit, in fact I’d go so far as to describe them as brutish.
I’m having to buy the whole setup from scratch so I was hoping to get 2 subs at around £700 ($960) each so I’m not going to be getting the top of the line subs. My room isn’t exactly going to be massive, so :
How important is it that I get better quality subs? and is the difference between SVS sufficiently better quality that Klipsch to justify the 1 week stay in the dog house?
