    Hi All,

Is it possible to buy your own HD box and use it for pay per view movies without taking out a HD subscription ?

    Don't believe so.

Minimum officially is 2mix for £15 and the HD sub for £10 although one or two have managed to get it with no 2mix sub but sky charges them £20 p/m just to have HD channels and sky+

That leads neatly onto the other thing - without the HD sub you have no sky+ functionality.

    Nice home cinema room :smashin:

Would you not be better to take out a monthly subscription to a video rental place that does HD-DVD's and/or BR and see your HD movies that way?

BTW, what packages within your subscription do you currently have for sky?

True if you are on a minimum package as described, but if you were on the full package then you would get sky+ functionality without the hd sub. Unless someone knows different:)
