and I have to say that the picture is amazing. For a film made in 1976 it is incredible. Sound is good too and is in a marvellous slip case.

Why oh why cant we get this quality on region 2 ???? :suicide:

Did you get the bonus disk though?

I pre-ordered this on the basis that it will be a six disc set but unfortunatley it seemed like a lottery on whether you were given the 6th disk or not!

we don't get it in R2 for the same reason we haven't got the DTS or ultimate sets of Rambo, the Extreme edition of T2, the SE of The Running Man (I could go on). This is because we are still treated like 2nd rate by certain distributors and studios.
I don't know why because in the UK and indeed Europe the dvd retail market is through the roof.
Still, beats giving tax, VAT etc to this government. Importing dvd's is like most things that enthusiasts do now, we just buy off the web. No wonder High Street sales are down.
But the Rocky R1 DTS is absolutely excellent.

Yep, but the irony is that high street DVD prices have started to creep back up after they clearly dropped to compete with the web.

For example, Man of Fire and Collateral 2 disk editions are both £19.00 on the high street.

Tell me about it, I often wait for new releases to come down in price before I buy. Nowadays I don't pay more than £8 for a dvd.

yes, if I really want a new release I tend to buy R3. You can usually pick them up for £8 or thereabouts if you look hard enough.
Example, my wife wanted to watch the new Alfie film, and it was £3.75 to hire from Blockbuster. I got it on the net for £7.99.
