    Hi All

I've just got back from China where I picked up the latest Nintaus does everything DVD player the n9868. Actually I got the Chiese model, the n868. It looks like the VGA has been swapped for a scart on the European model!!! I'll stick with the VGA. It's got PAL/NTSC prog scan, Zoran 6 deinterlacing chip, Windows media WMA, DVD Audio, HDCD, 192/24 bit audio dacs etc etc...The only problem is that I don't speak (or read) Chinese so I'm struggling.

While I was there my Chinese collegue translated the remote and set the menu to English for me, but I hadn't got the heart to ask for a translation of the complete manual. I was hoping to find an English translation on the net but no such luck.

I don't expect many will have come across the Chinese model but as I mentioned, the European model is virtually identical. So if anyone knows anything about this player I could really use some help. Ideally I would like to get hold of the manual in English. I'll gladly stick a review up on the forum if I get that far.

So far I've just hooked it up to by PC monitor and viewed a brief clip from Attack of the Clones and some promotional stuff that came with the player. It looks pin sharp on a small monitor. The test will be when I hook it up to my PJ (PLV30).

My main concern at present is on the Audio. I'm not sure how to configure it. I don't want to send raw AC3 or DTS via analogue or do anything that might damage other equipment.

    TIA for any help

    As you said Spunky

I payed £70 for it. I've seen the European version on a Danish web site for around 2000DDK which roughly £200 I think. I've been on the Nintaus web site all it does is list the features impressive though they are, see below. It also has the new Zoran 6 chip, base management, VGA, Component, PAL/NTSC Prog Scan etc..
