Set it up (after a couple of hours) and am very impressed with the sound however not very impressed with the DVD PQ.

I have it connected to my Panny PW5B plasma, and selected prog component on DVD. The picture shows slight pixilation on murky backgrounds, also is grainy and has significant shimmering on for example grilles of cars. I had a Sony NS 730 progressive component and the pic qulity on this was far better - no pixelation/graininess or shimering. Am I doing somethin wrong with the settings?

Also the cable provided to connect the amp to the sub is not long enough - can I just replace this with any old longer phono cable?

    Cheers for your help.

How have you connected the DVD to the plasma? You can use a longer good quality lead for the amp-sub connection. Out of interest what speaker settings have you used??

    Have set speakers to small.

So I can just use a good quality phono cable for the sub then?

    cheers

Picture is no better - still seeing graininess and pixellation. Also find the menu extremely slow i.e when you click to play, it seems to take an age to move from the menu screen to playing th movie.
