Just got my Hitachi 42PD3000!!!!!!!

Got it delivered & set up 2day. I must say I have been worried all week regarding PQ on Sky+ but I must say I think the Sky PQ is alot better than I could have hoped for.
Connected sky to hit with Thor scart fron Play.com & PQ is great!!!! I watched the Man U -v- Southampton match today & it looked fine.
Also tested monsters inc. DVD which looks stunning

I have used the THX set up on Monsters Inc. & I'm more than happy at the minute.
I acn highly recommend this Plasma to anybody

Got it from JL in Newcastle, pricematched at £2899 as their Bluewater shop.
Haven't got a digi camera so can't take any pics but I am well impressed after a week of worrying waiting for it.
Seen the richer sounds 500 model but as far as I know itt doesn't include speakers, tuner box etc. By the time u add up the cost of these & their 3 year warranty you come to similar price to what I paid & I've got the free 5 year warranty from JL

JL & the Plasma come highly recommended from 1st impressions.

P.S Watch LOTR on DVD last night & was blown away!!

The 42PD3000 really is a fabulous screen if you get a perfect one. I was very sorry to wave mine goodbye on Friday when I got a refund from JL because of 6 dead pixels.

I've had two of them now, and both had dead pixels, and I know another board member (mafiosi?) has gone through a similar number with pixel trouble.

As I said though, if you get a good one, it really is a excellent screen. I was using Sky through RGB scart like you and couldn't understand why people were complaining about the picture quality, it is outstanding.
