Online it's no contest, GRAW wins hands down. Both offer very good single player games. Being an ex PC gamer I was suprised at how quickly I got used to the controller on both games however GRAW can be a bit fiddly to begin with. Graphically they are both great, GRAW edges it for me but isnt quite the revelation it was made out to be. Still great fun tho :smashin:

i know this sounds stupid cos both are first person shooter war games, but they are so differant in gameplay and style. GRAW is 1000 times better online. IMO they are two completley differant games. One is advanced war with expensive gadgets and weapons, and the other is WW2 with old weapons.

COD2 is better played on PC if you want to get better aim, while helping you out in Multiplayer more. GRAW is of course better on the 360 because a joypad suits the 3rd person view mate.

I think COD2 is a superb game but GRAW blows it out of the water on all fronts for me. This game suits me so well and is just what I like.

It just takes more skill with controller. COD2 wasnt as hard on veteran as i thought it would be.

Keyboards are typewritters, mice are for scrolling, so why do ppl like them better than a controller designed for gaming?

COD2 online in the right situation (decent host) is the best 1st person ive ever played :smashin: although it does get slighty repetertive after about 300 hours of gaming:rotfl: Single player was ok but a bit dull (could'nt be bothered to complete on vet) Ive only had Graw since yesterday but single player is wicked. Cant really coment on the online aspect as yet as only had i go at it, But if i had to choose it would be graw..that said when the:)lease: ) patch comes for cod2 ill be back.

You obviously dont have an HD tv, otherwise you would be able to tell us how GOOD it looks on 360.

A mice aims better and more real then a joypad, and a keyboard allows you move more quicker at different times.

    i have an 86in screen being fed by a 720p native projector....and Cod2 looks better via a PC :D

still looks good via the 360, i however went for GR:AW, if i want the kind of shooter that COD2 is i can play CS:S/DoD:S on my PC.....GR:AW is a little different so i figured i might as well buy that to complement my PGR3 (only had my 360 a week...as my gamertag makes somewhat obvious..lol)......

oh and mouse/keyboard is much better combination to play with, getting used to dual stick on the 360, but would rather have me mouse....i prefer 1st person view to 3rd person so dual stick can get a little confusing...lol

i think if you gave people the ability to use m/kb on the 360, most would use it....heh (for games, i'm aware you can use it in the dash)

COD2 is using a refined updated engine on the 360 so has better smoke enhancement and lighting (Ive got the PC version as well and some areas its shown up even at the same resolutions at 720p on 50" 3LCD) the devolopers went on about it some time ago about how they improved it (and even whittered on about using one processor just for smoke for the added extra over the PC version with the 360s core power), PC version has better movement with keyboard and mouse tho so swings and roundabouts again.

I think its too early to compare them both. Id say single player wise for me COD2 still wins just as its extremely immersive thru owt (I finished GR3 and the odd bug and stupid AI of team mates annoyed me). Online at moment though GR3 wins easily as Ive had loads of connection probs with COD2 but GR3 has a lot of modes as well to outweigh over COD2 (it could swing again as theres another COD2 patch coming soon to sort the probs out and add more maps).

Problem for me though is there both my fav 360 games out of 12 Ive owned so Id just say buy both and you will be happy overall with em on live and off it.

I'd get both, I've got GRAW and it's more of a tactical shooter. However, plan to get COD2 soon too, the only reason I haven't done so far is the relatively short single-player mode.

Yeah have to say i've not been terribly impressed either. I think I was guilty of following all the hype on here and then finding it a bit disappointing when I put it in my xbox.

It's certainly fun but, dare I say it, I found PDZ just as enjoyable if not more.

as single player games you can't really go wrong with either. both are great in my opinion and pretty difficult to split.
for me cod2 online is a complete no go. everytime i have tried to play it has been a big disappointment.

graw on the otherhand has been extremely enjoyable on live. co-op mode is superb and online options blow cod2 out the water. as overall pakage i would choose graw without hesitation.
if they patch cod2 then who knows my opinion may change but we could be waiting forever:eek:

Then take it back and get something else.

Most people i know luv it and are addicted - especially to the online modes - that are both challenging and fun. :lesson:

I think overall I have to say i prefer COD2. more atmosphere. i find the graphics better (no tearing!), and a more immersive experience. im trying to be impressed by GRAW and i like it a lot, and all the customization u can do is cool. but the single player COD2 experience is pretty much unbeatable to me. GRAW is too often about getting killed 10 times before moving through certain parts of the story, whereas COD2 is like being in a film (except on Veteran, which is bloody hard).

once the COD2 patch comes out, it will be even better online.

i thought the single player of COD2 was far far too short. Is GRAW any longer? Havent got round to buying it yet.

I am waiting for the controls to be patched then I will enjoy it.

At this moment in time PDZ is the only game worth playing on live. FULL STOP. People may not like the game, or the syle, or the graphics but to be honest its the only game whihh is more or less bug free when playing. And as I see live as a social event as well, its the only game when I have had many fun nights playing with mates from here.

For single-player both games are great. In multiplayer, GRAW is ahead, because it doesn't lag and is an overall great experience online. Where as COD2 is laggy as hell.

Though I find the single player on COD2 more immersive, really makes u thnk ur in an actual war.

Lots of people i play with online with GRAW have crossed over from playing PDZ and feel GRAW is far superior - and many more luv playing PGR3 online too. So your above statement is just ridiculously opinionated and completely untrue. :lesson:
