    Hi All,

I placed my order for the DLP of the moment, the Samsung SP46L6HX with Robertsons Online for £1,210 inc VAT & delivery. They are currently quoting 10 days to get it in from Samsung and then another couple for delivery to my house.

I know that the feedback on Robertsons has been mixed in the past, but I thought I'd start this thread so I can let you know about my experiences. So far everything has been fine, they even answered my emails the same day which is usually unheard of for online retailers!

I'll let you all know how I get on.

    Paul.

Paul.. do you know if the sammy will come with the stand, as Makro seem to be having difficulty obtaining and agreeing to part with them. i think that they are also trying to make customers pay extra for it

....also .. were you not tempted to get the 50" version they have advertised on their web site. im still undecided

I am waiting for a reply from Samsung and have sent an email to Robertsons to confirm whether it does or not. I was confident that it did, but now I am not so sure!!

And, yes, I was tempted by the 50" but after seeing a 46" Tosh and 45" Sagem in John Lewis, I'm sure that 46" will be more than big enough to replace my ageing Tosh 43" 4:3 RP TV.

All these people that have picked up your sets from Makro, lets have some reviews and, more importantly, pictures! :D

Comet list it as INCLUDING the TV/Video stand. The picture on their site also shows it with the stand included. I think the /XEU at the end of their product code indicates the stand.

I think the XEU denotes the country specific code and it's printed on the packaging of the TV not the stand. As far as I know most most places are including the stand, it was just my local Makro who didn't know the full score and were trying to convince me that the stand was separate, they soon changed their minds though.

The stand is included with the TV. There seems to be an acknowledged shortage of them for the next few weeks then apparently they will be in plentiful supply.

Re: 46" vs. 50" this really comes down to the size of the room and your seating distance. Don't forget with DLP sets you do need to sit a certain distance from the picture with SD signal material. For me 46" is spot on. A good idea when demoing may be to take a tape measure and make sure you are looking at the set from the correct distance. The 46" screen is massive, the 50" is just slightly more massive!!
