I jus bought a 42inch Toshiba RPTV and am moving house. Dont have a definate date for when I can move into the new place yet (a week or so) but need to accept delivery of the TV now. The TV will be stored at my parents, and the new house is a half mile away. Thing is is it safe to transport the TV from house the house. I have/will not open the packaging, I just dont want to bugger up the focus before ive even used it.

Any tips for moving this beast? Or have I made a mistake buying it now (meaning I have to move it later)

Of course it's safe to transport, how do you think it's going to get to your door in the first place?:)

Just keep it upright and don't drop the thing when you're moving it;)

Upright eh? - okay will do. Im just wondering because we will have to hire a van, and im not sure if the initial delivery people had any sort of protection in their van.
Thankfully there will be no stairs that the TV will have to go up/or down.
