I bought the sony strdn1000 yesterday. I have not yet hooked it up to any sources or connected the speakers - just plugged in to see the front display with the intention of connecting everthing up later this week when I had more time.
Noticed an issue as soon as i had plugged it in. When I press input -/+ selector on the front of the receiver, pressing the minus button results in the amp scrolling through the the different inputs. - which is as it should be. However, when i press the + button on the input selector, it does not scoll the other way through the different inputs, it just mutes the amp, pressing it again takes the mute off (the amp display also shows mute on/off when the + button of the input selector is pressed!.) Funny thing is, that there is an actual mute button near the input selector
-/+ buttons on the front panel - but pressing the mute button does nothing at all !!
Am i missing something obvious here ??! or is it a dodgy amp that should go back ?
