    Well sort of......

Tesco's were selling it for.............................. £15.97
Wifey works there so gets 10% off................. £14.37
300 clubcard points (apparently worth £3)........£11.37
    Finally, saved £3.50 because I don't have
to hire out a DVD from Blockbuster tonight........£7.87

    :D

Well it was obviously a bit tongue in cheek but the 300 clubcard points do represent a real £3 saving according to my wife and I really was going to make a rare trip to Blockbusters to hire a DVD tonight. I think £3.5 is quite steep these days and I'd much rather spend 3 times that to own a film.

    Or double post.

Actually, if I may hijack this thread slightly OT ...

... why is anyone buying this DVD at this time when it's obvious there'll be umpteen "special" trilogy versions presumably in Q2 next year ... followed by the SE, Director's Cut, Ultimate Edition, Platinum Edition, ad nauseum.

    Just wondering. :D

My local Blockbuster charges at £3.75-so if you lived in the Sky Blue city you would have saved another 25p!

I bought the dvd because it will cost me less to buy it and sell it, than spend £3.50 to rent it!!! So if i decide that in fact the SE bothers me (which it may not since extras mean nothing to me), then i can sell it for no more loss than a rental..... seems pretty logical to me! :D

A: Can be picked up cheap.
B: People who can't wait for 'special editions'.
C: People who don't care about 'special editions'.
    D: For something to watch.
    E: Demo material.
    F: Frizbee.
G: For the same reasons they buy any other dvd, coz they like the film!!!!!!!!, in my eyes the most important reason.
