Hi :) just bought this rgb scart cable for my playstation 2, just wondering how i know if my tv is using rgb mode?

when i press help on my upstairs tv it has the modes cvbs cvbs2 and rgb

my downstairs tv just has av1 and av2? i thought this one supported rgb

does it need to have the rgb mode to play rgb or will it work on av1 mode

sorry if this makes no sence, i only discovered yesterday that the rf connection i'd been using with ps2 sucked :(

AV1 is generally RGB enabled. The easiest way to tell the difference is when watching a footie match (or cricket in summer) The little box in the corner giving the score will seem like the print from an old dot matrix printer on a RF feed or composite connection whilst RGB will show the score box as a solid block which is much more readable.
