Use cinema mode, avoid still images (like games) and films with "black bars", at least in the first 200 hours.

Just a question. Are you happy with the black levels? In my 37PA50 and in cinema mode the blacks aren't CRT like… in fact they are far from it.

    Boas visualizações.

When you say films with black bars, do you mean:
    1) 4:3 pictures with black bars on left & right ?
    2) 1.85 AR films with black bars on top and bottom ?

Well, I just started to see films with 2).

Regarding your question, yes, I'm happy with the black levels.

What I did: Selected "Normal Mode" and callibrated "brightness", "contrast", "sharpness" and "color" using DVE (Digital Video Essentials) DVD. For use with the DVD Player, I turned off all options like MPEG NR, Colour Management, etc. I'm using a Pioneer DV-575A, in progressive scan mode.
