just bought a memory stick? prepare to be peeved

Hmmm - if this was to work, why would it interface at the battery side of the PSP? What is going to control the HD etc?

the only way it could work is if cable went from either the battery side to the MS duo which is a LONG way!! or it connects to the USB port which woud also look tacky. The first way is unlikely and the second way requires the drive to be a HOST drive .

I would love to be proved wrong but it looks like B****ks to me!

The picture looks all wrong as well.
It shows the PSP upside down facingbackwards to show the battery, why the funny angle at the bottom and wheres the power connector?

i don't think this is a fake, there was a well publicised hack that did exactly this (except it was external) way back in the days whe hackers were pondering the difficulties of 1.52. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that it should be internalised and commercialised

oh, and for those that have an ipod (or somesuch) look out for the synchbox2 arriving in the uk in under 2 months. then you can store and transfer (to ms) all manner of psp goodness

That looks like it slots into the memory stick port. I may get it down the line, but the 1 gig is fine for the moment, especially since I just bought a second 1 gig for my phone, and at less than half the price of that.

Exactly what I thought! Dodgy looking to me...

All of these mass storage external devices really defeat the point of a PSP..

Kid 1: "Look at my tiny cool PSP"
Kid 2: "Whats the donkey for?"
Kid 1: "Oh, it carries my external HD, PSP2TV device and cordless headphones"
Kid 2: "OK"
Kid 1: "By the way, its not a donkey - It's a Portable DataStation Max PRO Evo 8"

It's listed on Ebay now for £195.

I think the lack of storage space on a PSP is it's main shortfall, if only it had a hard drive, like an Archos, it would be an all in one solution.

I wouldn't pay £195 for the add on (a 4gb Ipod nano is cheaper), but it things like this are for real, then maybe the prices will come down and the sizes get smaller.

If im wrong IM HAPPY!!! will defo look into this if its real which looks better than it did earlier.  :

Why not 8 gig!!thumbsdow LOL

If so no need to compress movies etc Superb

I have the datel max 2 battery and its not too intrusive and actually makes holding the PSP more secure.

You can chuck out all your hard cases though!

lol of course its real its on retailers websites lol.8 gig would be nice though, mind you if it had been 8 i would say 12 so.how do you find the battery hours wise ? gotta agree about the cases though,i bought the logitech one and while it will take the knocks and drops you really cant play it while its in the case imho.

To be honest i would prefer a 4 Gig duo and who knows this may
cause a price crash! and force Sony to release one at a reasonable price sooner rather than later.

None of the pictures actually show how the cable connects to the memory slot , i would lioke to se how neat it is done.

The Battery life i have found with the datel max x2 is approx twice as much as they say it is

I wasn't really looking forward to this contraption until I saw this:

Yup, its a quick edit but that is how the final product will look. I'd buy one just for the comfort - the 4GB is a bonus :D

Hope they make them in white...

LOL, it won't be long before our PSP's are the same size as our PStwo's ;) And then we can hook em up to our TV's and hey presto :rotfl:

hahahahahahahahaha

Ain't that the truth.

My main gripe with the PSP is how uncomfortable it is, I've considered making a set of handles myself as the ones I've seen on the market are all a bit crap.

Going to hold on for this:

As it looks like it could do the job...If not then its moulding we go

Yeah, I know what you mean, I looked at this add-on myself, but as with all grips, I don't like the principle of having to remove bits to fit the PSP back in the PlaygearPocket case  . The DragonPlus soft grip looks about the most comfortable grip to me, made of soft rubber and nice & chunky.

I keep an open mind to PSP add-ons but I'm trying to avoid having to carry a backpack with me when I'm on the move with my PSP ;) . I already re-sold my Nub extensions, as soon as they arrived I had that feeling "what do I want from my PSP". I have to admit though, I play mine mainly at home out of laziness to turn the TV, Amp, PStwo, Joytech Switch Box etc. on

I know what you mean about the Playgear, great protection but I don't know how anyone can claim to play the PSP whilst its in there - very uncomfortable edges.

Got a link to the DragonPlus grip? Sounds ideal for me but I haven't seen it anywhere.
