The insurance company (and I'll name them now because they've been phenomenal - Aviva) have confirmed they're not sending anyone out, they've asked me to take damaged goods to the tip and they don't want to see any photos or receipts for anything other than the handful I sent for the 2 main TVs. They've sent me cash for stuff I haven't even replaced yet, and everything I'd added to the claim along the way is not questioned at all. I assume there's some sort of limit before they get more thorough but I'm a good few grand into this now and it's like going to a cash machine without a PIN. Unbelievable. Maybe they are wary of certain people that appear to be taking the pee, but for me it's no questions asked, because I haven't. I could've easily asked for a new Nintendo Switch but because I've told them the console itself is fine, and it's only the dock and adapter damaged, they've sent me £79.99 to replace that. I assume requests like that show that you're generally fairly honest in your claim.
