    A laserdisc would not fit into a DVD player as it measures 12inches across. If you mean compact disc then the answer is yes, it will play on a DVD player.

    Unless you own one of the pioneer combi LD players.. which play laserdisc and dvd!

    Even if they did fit in a DVD player I would still think it would be incompatible. Remember the big playas in DVD where coming out with different formats of DVD but they got together in the end to come up with a compromise.

    Despite the information being held in a digital type format, the signal is infact coded in an analogue way, which makes DVD and LaserDisc incompatible. Unless as noted before you have one of the "combi" LD/DVD units on the market. The two technologies are so different it is much akin to combining a record deck and a cd player in one.

    Truth is I forgot about the size of laser disk.

    As someone was sell some, I asked b4 thinking..........
