As per the launch thread I've shot a lot of macros this past week and struggled to choose my entry pic. However, I chose this one for a few reasons. Firstly this weekend is the first time I've ever seen a jumping spider, let alone been able to shoot one. Secondly, I'm pleased getting this in focus, I can't tell you how difficult it was as these guys are extremely small, probably 4-5mm in length in total. To give an idea, this is pretty much a 1:1 crop of a 1:1 macro. Thirdly, I can't believe my luck that I caught him having breakfast. And lastly I think he's cute, maybe even M will like him Shot with the D750 and 105mm f2.8 Macro OS HSM at 1:1, using a diffused flash on a flash bracket. ISO 500, f16, 1/320. Pic in next post for ad avoidance. I'll post a number of my other shots from this week in the INV thread.
