Does anyone know if Juiced is gonna be as good as Gran Turismo? I've got 15 days to exchange an unwanted present at HMV (who don't do refunds incidentally  ) and I need to find something to spend £60 on.

i dont think its gonna be the same kind of game to be honest, it looks like its gonna be in the same bag as need for speed underground.
street racing/arcade as opposed to a racing simulator.

I've got a 'copy' of it for the Xbox, it's not too bad, but there are much better games to spend your money/credit on. ;)

I played it on the PC, looks ok, but the handling and collision is crap. If you just slightly touch a kerb you stop dead, there are no crash through objects, you just stop dead.

just so you know....activision haven't 'gone' :) [not that i've been told anyway, as i still produce work for them... ;)] unfortunately it is true about acclaim :( :thumbsdow they left many unpaid bills to boot [they still have an outstanding bill with the company i work for, for quite a hefty amount... and at the same time trying to get us to produce more work for them...lol] but worse than that is the fact that they failed to pay employees :( :nono: and to add insult to injury, one of those unpaid bills was indeed their rent to some of their premises, resulting in the buildings being 'reclaimed' and the [former-]employees being unable to get back in to retrieve their personal belongings...let hope things work out ok for them
as far as juiced goes, that should still see the light of day, abliet with the possibility of a name change...its had loads of publicity, but i can't help thinking that its gonna be a dissapointment, and looks as though greg confirms this...
    regards

Played the demo as well and I totally agree, it is pants. The handling is nowhere near as good as Need For Speed, NFSU 2 is out 19.11.04 I'm going to wait for that.

    Thanks for the info.

So if I want to play Gran Turismo on my X-box, what do I buy? And don't say a PS2! :p

Burnout 3 for the arcade bit, PGR2 for the Gran Turismo mode, about as close as you'll get unfortunately. :(

ive just rented juiced from the video shop, and i think people should be a little patient with it(but rent it before you buy it!)
ive been getting into it and although its not the best racer, its got a few novelty bits in there which make it worth playing.
Glad ive rented it, but i dont think id splash out £35 for it.

ill reverse my decision about this game right now, after spending a good few hours on it, its probably the most fun ive had on my consoles for a while.
it looks like its gonna be a really underrated game, but give it a chance if you can

I gotta agree with you there mate, Forza is looking like it could be the dogs danglies, unless they manage to stuff it up like TOCA(crash detection, anyone!) But at the present time PGR2 is still the king or driving games with a bit of Burnout3 thrown in for a laugh.
