I am having a nightmare with a juddering noise through my speakers. I've just changed my reciever to a Sony STR-DB1080 and never had this problem with my Sherwood. I've been told I may need a mains filter but I'm wondering why I did'nt have the problem with my old Amp/Reciever? Or could it be something totally different? Please help me, its driving me mad!

    Sounds like it's SNAFU.

Have you read the manual/adjusted the settings?

    "Situation Normal All ****ed Up"

Sounds like your amp is faulty. If you've basically swopped the amp over- and I guess you know what you're doing, then most likely the decoding chip is not working.
