This is slowly driving me nucking futz, I've tried everything, TheaterTek, Purevideo but still I get juddering on mpeg 2 HD playback, which is the most of my HTPC use. It's most noticable on panning movement with an approximately twice per second steady judder. Ive tried a lot ot different HD material (Lost, Gladiator, Troy, Discovery HD etc) I have a 3Ghz P4 and 256 MB 6600 (not the GT) and 512 MB memory hooked up to a Sagem HD-D45 thru the DVI cable. Does anyone here see 100% flawless HD playback? Going to try a complete reinstall of MCE followed by TT and see how that looks

What frequency is your video feed. Sounds like you're possibly sending a PAL (50hz) signal at something like 60hz?

Try the nvidia codec and try it without hardware decoding and with for a comparison.
also try altering the deinterlace from smart to film etc.
It could also be your refesh rate.

I wiped the hard drive and installed WinXp+SP2 and the latest driver from Nvidia (78.01). Once TT was installed I played some HD and guess what, everything is silky smooth. Also there is no blinking on my display (Sagem HD-D45). Looks like this is a driver problem with Nvidia 6600 and MCE

I suspect that you dont have enough system memory to play this back as the buffer size is what causes this often, control alt and del, and stopp all running aplications except explorer and the player, this may help as so much runs by default in the background it slows things down anyway without any intensive stuff being added to the run list!
    Good luck!

512mb or ram is ample for MCE and HD thats what I run and I dont run out of memory.
    Good idea though.

I seemed to have solved my judder problem by using wmp10 and the elecard mpeg2 decoder ,smooth playback on all ts files now .

I currently use a 7800 gt card ,i did use the nvidia pure video decoder with zoomplayer for a while with some success but too much tinkering seemed to mess everything up lol .
