    I've recently purchased a Component switching device from Scancom (AVT5842) - basically its a 4 in / 2 out device.

    It does seem incompatible with my Sky+ box and JS Tech RGB Component convertor as, whenever all these are included in the signal chain to my Panny plasma, I get a static diagonal line pattern on the picture. I've tried some different tests using a component DVD player as well and found it's something to do with the Sky+ box??

    Sky+ --> JS RGB Component converter --> Plasma screen = OK
    Sky+ --> JS RGB Component converter --> AVT5842 --> Plasma screen = Diagonal pattern
    DVD --> JS RGB Component converter --> Plasma screen = OK
    DVD --> JS RGB Component converter --> AVT5842 --> Plasma screen = OK
    DVD --> Plasma screen = OK
    DVD --> AVT5842 --> Plasma screen = OK
    DVD --> Sky+ --> JS RGB Component converter --> Plasma screen = OK
    DVD --> Sky+ --> JS RGB Component converter --> AVT5842 --> Plasma screen = Diagonal pattern

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
