I recently used PC Inspector to recover some jpg files from an erased & re-used SmartMedia card. Some of the files were corrupted & some where perfect (as expected). Some, however, were reported as being the correct file size (~700Kb) but were alot smaller in terms of pixel size (160 x 200-ish). The images that were reproduced from the files were small and poor quality despite there apparent correct data size. If the files are the original size in Kb terms, can they be recovered in any way? I used XP fax/picture viewer to view the images as well as a 3rd party photo edit program with the same results.

    Thanks in advance.

PS If you accidently erase or format your data card/stick, this program does a fine job of recovery PROVIDED you don't start using the card to store more pictures. I recovered some for a friend that were months old and 'lost' as he hadn't used the card to a great extent since.

I use Bad Copy Pro from http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/.

I think this works better and recovers the full file. Also works on other media like cd's and floppys
