just seen on ss news that mourinho has left chelsea
maybe not so special after all
Already posted and talked about in chelsea thread mate, shocking news, not been the best few days for them.
still funny though
Very, even better if you post it in the Chel$ki thread, winds then right up.
I believe it was because Spurs approached him to replace Martin Jol
all that money he has spent on players and they are still getting beat by Villa and the likes. He still wanted more money to spend maybe he wanted billions to turn them into a naff team and not millions.
You live and hope, you live and hope! If he moves to WHL it will prove something I always wonder about - there is a God!
LOL i doubt he would go to tottenham!!
That would be like selling your ferrari to get a mini!
at the end of the day he is a GREAT manager!
but there is something about them russian's in buying and controlling.
without the managers consent. romanov (hearts), abramsomebody (chelsea) ?
Breaking news on spn he has signed up to be a contestant on the bbc2 show Egg Heads.
Ashame I liked him...
I'm betting he'll end up at Real Madrid !
They're surely the last club on earth that would put up with his style of play, they like to win with style & they want to win Ole Big Ears again, something Jose has lost the knack of doing..
You might be right You think the last 2 European Cup exits had anything to do with him leaving ?
I, for one would turn a blind eye, if you were to get a kicking from your household.
I'm just thinking how many Chelsea fans will see the grass isn't greener post José. Yes he plays dull football but where are you guaranteed to find a replacement who's as successful + some & who plays wonderful flowing attacking football......60 league games unbeaten at home!
Even if he has blown a whole ton of cash on a crock of & someone else would actually spend the money wisely building a squad which actually included cover for Drogba ..
Success, as the empty seats at Stamford Bridge have shown, isn't everything. I know that's literally heresy to Red Noses, but hey, there you go.
I agree totally that no-one wants to see good football and be stuffed every week, but frankly it's a misnomer that you do. There is a confusion in the media (and some fans minds) between 'lots of goals' and 'end to end' stuff, and genuine quality football. That involves playing good passing football, attacking in style, and being able to defend.
If Chelsea can dump the depressing rubbish of late and play decent football again, and go back to being contenders, which at the moment many blues think they aren't, Mourinho or not, then all will be well.
Frankly though, I agree DJT, that employing a 'chairmans choice' over a proven talent (which Maureen certainly is) is never a good sign.
My thoughts exactly. I've not really bothered watching any Chelsea matches on the telly over the last season or so as I've not found them in the least bit interesting or exciting.
Chelsea launch new after shave called "The Special One" from " U GO BOSS "
LOL - that raised a laff from me anyway
Chelsea is Abramovich's toy and he wants to play with it the way he likes: spending his money on and playing players he's a fan of but who may not exactly be any good anymore (Schevchenko) without a manager who tells him that it doesn't work for the team.
As a manager it must be hard when you have someone giving/forcing you players, some who aren't at the top of their game, and then the boss demands you give top results regardless.
Mourinho was hilarious in his 1st season at Chelsea and despite annoying a lot of people his attitude got him results. 2nd season and he looked absolutely depressed and so does the team.
I hope he goes to another decent team and is given the space to prove that he's got talent (and if he was all just a fluke so far then we'll know too).
As a manager now I wouldn't want to go to Chelsea. Being a puppet can't be good.
Anyway that's just my opinion
Every dog has its day! i wonder who will replace Chelsea in the top four teams?West Ham ?
Man City! - they already have
Looking forward to an all new Chelsea though - wonder if this Grant fella will change things around much. Being his toy & a huge fan, Roman must've instructed him to play a style to suit Svenchenko's strengths more often - we might actually see him playing consistantly well again, you never know...
I was at the gym this morning and SSN was on. Couple of guys kept walking over to the screens so I went to see what it was all about
You could say it was on the wall. But when it happened I wasn't sure what I felt. Tried going on the treadmill. Nope. So went for a shower. No
I didn't expect it but I am genuinely upset at the news of Jose leaving. I'll miss him. Jose you was the special one
on a serious note don't you think when maureen first came to the prem that they was playing some great football?
For it all stated last season with the hoof up field, weird as they claim to have some of the best midfielders in Europe and always seem to miss them out?
Glad to see you've got of your arse and got yourself a new cleaning job.
They were, but then that side was really the 'tinkermans'. Tbh they started to become more 'methodical' in season two, and last year things really started to be 'workmanlike'.
As I said yesterday, it may just be that like a lot of latin coaches you only get one maybe two good seasons out of them and then they need a new challenge. Let's be honest, he was making the 'I'm fed up with this' noises last year.
On the other side of the coin, it is yet another confirmation that clubs being 'rich mens playthings' is not healthy.
does thi smean Chelsea will become likeable again, like they were under ranieri?
....sorry to see him go, as I wanted to see his face when Rafa lifted the prem this year!
In all honesty he certainly will be missed as a character of the game. Fantastic record no doubt about it, and I think some of the players will be upset he's gone as they all embodied his spirit at the club, even if the football was drab!
The news is annoying me, the training ground isnt in Cobham... it's in Stoke D'Abernon!
