    Hello,

I used to have my amp sitting on a stand in my room with speaker cables running under the floor into it......

But i now have another cabinet that i built myself with all my eqipment sitting side by side in it.

I would like to have the amp sitting in the middle of the display cabinet because it looks better and balances things out but.....

Two of my speaker cables cannot reach the amp when i have it in the center of the cabinet so i have to have it off center and it wastes the look of my display.

If i joined more cable on to it .....would it mean a considerable drop in sound quality?

Is there any way to join up the cable with minimal loss in quality?

    Thanks for any replies!

If you use reasonable quality connectors or make it permanent (e.g. solder) then it would be very very hard to detect - certainly wouldn't create 'a considerable drop in sound quality'.
