I want to run an HDMI cable from my PC (HDMI output available) to the HD TV. It's about 7m across the room or 11m around the skirting (I could just manage it past the patio doors), and four corners would be involved.
So the question is: do I use the solution round the edge with one long cable or have two shorter cables (2m + 5m) and a connector plugged together when required?
I think I'd prefer the two part solution to avoid the long one fixed round the edge.
I'd appreciate any comments on these alternatives.

Many thanks

We recently had a cable returned as ‘faulty’ – once unpacked it was possible to stand the cable up and it formed a nice rectangle showing the door way it had been ‘neatly’ pinned around – suffice to say pinning the cable around the doorway had trashed it internally.

HDMI cable don’t like sharp bends – you need to follow the natural radius the cable takes.

Maybe time to rethink your plans!!!
