Joining 2 wireless networks together?

Established Member
Is it possible to join 2 wireless network together so me and my neighbour can share movies etc from our computers?

Depends on the make and model, cisco wireless access points for instance
can operate in bridged mode to do this. Each vendors implementation of this
is often propitiatory though, so they'd most likely need to be of the same type.

How far away from each other are you? Might be easiest to run an ethernet
cable between the two routers (again if they'll support having one port configured
slightly differently)

Have Fun ;)

lots of consumer APs support WDS nowadays - Wireless Distribution System

this gives you the option of bridge mode to join the 2 parts of the network

check your router model and instruction manual
