Joining 2 HDMI Cables?!

Standard Member
I need a 7m HDMI Cable, but it seems you can only buy 2m, 3m and 5m cables in this country (everywhere says that you'll be able to buy longer ones soon, but can't say what 'soon' means!).

Can anyone suggest how to join 2 HDMI cables together, to make a longer one (e.g. 2m and 5m gives me my 7m)?

As you say not much in the way of HDMI cables above 5m at present - none of the manufacturers seems ready to launch anything in the near future.

The simplest option is as follows:

1 x HDMI to DVI cable - (we have 2, 3 and 5M in stock)
1 x DVI to DVI (Female to Female In Line adapter - ex stock)
1 x DVI to HDMI cable - (we have 2, 3 and 5M in stock)

Using our BetterCables Display Magic 2m and 5m cables - this works well; I've not tested it as yet with our Molex cables but cant see it being a problem.

Best regards

PS HDMI to DVI and DVI to HDMI cables are one and the same - it just made for easier reading I thought!

Thanks for that Joe, how much for 2m and 5m and the in-line adapter? (I'm also in Edinburgh, at Barnton, so I can pick up from you easily)
