Yes I know they are not made anymore and people have had issues with the hdmi cable and gps shield but it's what I wanted to try especially at current prices.

Purchased from Drones for less ordered late Tuesday night arrived Friday
3DR, Solo Quadcopter with 3-Axis Gimbal for GoPro HERO3+ / HERO4 Mega Accessory Kit Bundle

Unfortunately 1 of the 3 batteries was missing which I reported and have received an email to ring them this morning to get it sorted.

Why has it changed the links from .com to .co.uk?

Edit: links work if open in new tab

Just checking the info on Amazon and noticed:
    Box Contains
    3DR Solo Drone
No camaera included with the item.

do you get the controller with the drone? and what's the flight time?

Yes you get the controller, controller battery, drone battery, chargers, props etc.

By no camera they mean the GoPro which is required with this drone as it does not have a built in camera like some of the other drones.

I bought a used GoPro 4 Black (from the bay) with extra batteries and the touch bac and various mounts and cases in brand new condition for less than the price of a refurbed GoPro from gopro themselves.

Flight time is 25 minutes without gimbal and 20 minutes with gimbal.

It's on amazon.com (you need to right click link and open in new tab) and its cheaper now than when I bought it as now $245 + shiping and handling etc which is $104.12

    Total in Pounds = £289.44

cheers , after my post yesterday I went onto Youtube and found quite a few vids of the 3dr solo .Looks a decent quad.

Also checked on the UK Amazon site .£495 for the quad .
The spare parts seem very expensive . You cannot afford to crash this model : 2 blades are £58 ,replacement shell is £89.95,new battery is £70.83, replacement motor pod £54.95 each, replacement legs x 2 £13.95 ,1 x leg with compass £17.95.

I would have to buy over priced parts in the UK because I live in the UK .Buying from the States is expensive .I have bought items from the States in the past and postage is pricey then we have to pay an import tax on all goods purchased before the items get delivered .

As above that argument doesn't always hold true.

The drone is 289.44 including shipping handling and import duties all paid up front so no additional to pay on arrival.

Find that drone in UK for that

Nice video but not the ideal place for a first go, sand ,concrete and people .You need to practice "off road" and if you have a crash it lands in the grass.

I got confused with the sticks and panicked, just wanted to get it away from the guy walking by.

They come in and out of stock at that price just gotta keep looking.

Not having the best of starts, first nearly take a bloke out and then fly in a no fly zone. I've spent a day out and not found anywhere I'd feel comfortable flying mine without either disrupting other people or breaking rules/laws.
