Can anyone help.

Following advice on the board I bought a Sony KV32FX68 form JL just before Christmas. I claimed a price match of £715 with Premier AV who were showing stock or H Preston who quoted £749 when I phoned.

JL have claimed Premier out of stock and price-matched Prestons at £789 which is a lot more than I expected to pay.

I've looked back at the old thread, and if anyone can help with evidence that JL might accept I'd be very grateful.

I think you're out of luck. This set seems to have gone up in price with most retailers and the cheaper ones are out of stock. You might consider the KD32DX50 for £709 from digital-point with a JL price match. It's a cracking 50Hz IDTV. A lot of people think 50Hz gives a more natural image than 100Hz anyway.

I purchased a 32fx68 TV from John Lewis myself last Friday. I had agreed a price match against Premier AV (715 + 20 delivery)about 10 days previous.

From reading previous threads I know that they will only do this if the competitor has the item in stock. Premier AV do not seem to carry large stocks of even their most popular items, but do seem to restock quickly - hence their web site is showing the item to be currently back in stock. JL must have contacted them on an unlucky day for you.

I am guessing that the difference between the price for the Prestons store you quoted and JL matched was for delivery ?

Thanks for the replies.

mkcheznous thanks for your help. Premier AV were showing the set as instock when I ordered. It is very useful to know that JL have honoured this price.

I went to JL in Nottingham this week and bought a FX68 for £735 after price matching with TotalDigital. All they did was ring up TD, verify they had a store and were in stock and that was it - the TV is mine.

Well, it will be when it's delivered a week on Monday!
