John Lewis Direct and Receipts / Warranty

    Don't know if this'll be of any help to those who have recently taken advantage of some of the New Year JL Direct deals...

    A couple of weeks have gone by since my TV + PS3 was delivered and I hadn't received a receipt. Which isn't good.

    So I gave them a ring today and spoke to a nice lady on the other end of the line, who, after taking my details said that "No worries, I'll send the receipt out (which acts as my warranty as well) in the post to you. You should get it in the next two weeks".

    I find it odd you have to request a receipt - not sure if this is the status quo for John Lewis, but I didn't want anyone else to think theirs is on the way, forget all about it and then not be able to get one.

    Or did others get it in the post without having to request one? Was it just me? :D
