i love Jl subs for cars one of the best but is the gotham really worth the heafty price tag
Just been checkin out their site, it looks very interesting indeed- 4" of excursion they say.
It's not out til near the end of the year, it'll be interesting to see how it does in the home cinema market though. A new thing for JL.
Apparently 2 13w7s with will make 150dB in a car.
$7.5k is a lot! I'd certainly be interested to hear one though
There you can find some info. Those smaller models, Fathom f112 and f113 sure look nice. Nice to have a competitor for Velodyne.
Just had a look at these! They look awesome!
Doesn't the guy stood up on the right look like a cardboard cut-out?
Yes, he looks a little bit 2D!
weight 305 lbs
power 2.5K watts
not too shabby I s'pose.
Actually it has 3.8K watts (short term)...
On one of their promo vids they say it'll put out the short-term 3.8k for a whole minute, which is impressive to say the least. I'd like to know the long-term RMS tho, might drop them a line.
The gotham's badass! I want a listen...
1 minute is not a short term! Short term is like 20ms etc.
No, its not what comes to mind when I think 'short term' either, but its not long-term either. I just wondered, because presumably they called it 'short term' for a reason...
