I just picked this up from another forum and as Summer seems to be the season for macro I thought it may be of interest to some here:

"Jessops are currently offering the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX DG HSM Macro for
Nikon and Canon for £449.97, and if you use the code LENS10, you get a
further 10% off that making it a hong-kong-ebay beating £404.97.

For comparision, the same lens is £599 in Warehouse Express, and £539 on
7dayshop.com/.

Note: this isn't the new Mark II version, but I've yet to see a difference
in the spec/opinions that make me think the MkII is worth any extra. It's
only available to collect in store, and only then if the store has stock,
but several around me had them in - I guess they're clearing the shelves for
the MkII."

I have not used this lens myself but if it as good as my two Sigmas then it is a good buy IMHO.

This is a real bargain! It's cheaper than the Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 !!

Shame they didn't make this one in "Sony mount", otherwise they'd have my money by now :(

It's at times like this I wish I has a Nikon or a Canon :(

I can get the new Sony mount for about £700 :(
Can't see it listed on their site today at that price though?!!.
Anyone use this lens?, comment welcomed as I have been after a decent telephoto for a while and on face value this sounds like a bargain, any ideas how it stands up against the Nikon 80-200ED F2.8 at approx£750?
