jerky pictures

    I'm sure this is a familiar thread but if anyone could just point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful. I don't want a step by step guide, just a 'well the reason is because', ta :)

    TV via the HTPC is, compared to my freeview receiver, a bit on the jerky side. It's watchable and in many respects is of a very good quality... until someone moves.

    The slight problem is that it's the S connection into a CRT TV so although I've got the icons and text set to one step up from a blind person, it's difficult to try to diagnose with the same confidence as a proper monitor display.

    sounds like a refresh rate problem,

    Yeah sounds like you need something like powerstrip to get the refresh rate down to a settign your TV is comfortable at.
