    Hi,

On most DVD's, whenever the camera does a pan left or right, it appears quite jittery or jerky...e.g. Star Wars Ep 2 during the part when Obi-wan is being shown around the cloning facility.

I have the R1 copy of it and the DVD player is in progressive mode (NTSC only).

Would this be something I can do anything about or is it a plasma 'thing'?

Strange, running progressive (with 3:2 pulldown) should remove juddery pans. You've got a decent DVD player too.

Try S-Video, as this will run in interlaced.

Does it also do it with PAL DVD's- they don't have 3:2 pulldown effect.

I take it you're using Component from the DVD to the Plasma?

    Hi Mr Silly...

Yep I'm going componently to the plasma...

Just tried Ep.1 (R2) and it does not have the same juddery effect...ep.2 (R1) does whether I'm running progressive or not...

Tries with S-video and still has the same effect...

Dunno...perhaps its a particular effect on certain films??
