There was an outstanding question that I have answered regarding importing my Panasonic to UK.
    Thanks.

    The answer was...

The old fashioned type (Cathode ray???). Its about a year old.

Sorry, I've been busy.........I couldn't find out the chassis fitted to this particular model but I would say bring it over........I am 99.9% sure it will work okay in the UK........it may just need a small tweak in the software by an engineer. :smashin:

HI there - thanks very much!
Sounds a little risky to me - if it doesn't work I will have a real problem selling.

What sort of little tweak may be required within the software - how is this done?

Anyway thanks again for your help.

It's done in the hidden "Engineers" or "Service" Menu...just a case of changing an option by the use of the remote control.....no need to even take the back off.

For your own piece of mind why not email or phone Panasonic Australia and ask if it can be converted for UK use.....as I say I am pretty sure it can. :smashin:

Appologies for gate crashing this private party ;) .
Duncbry , try doing a search for posts by red16v I think it was . He took a set from the UK to Aus , ended up with all sorts of colour purity problems iirc .
Something to do with taking it to a different hemisphere

Hi, been away on Hols. I haven't imported/moved TVs between UK/Aus etc myself but did become involved in a thread started by someone who wanted to. I'm not sure what this model is but most certainly there can big significant issues in transporting crt devices betwen Europe and Australasia - I wouldn't undertake such an enterprise myself. Regards, yt.
