Thanks for the review.
Does the extra detail of the 4k transfer make the shark scenes look more like a big rubber shark?
It was hardly lifelike on dvd.
Still before the awful sequels this was a diamond.

Have you ever seen a great white up close to compare:D

It's more lifelike than the shark in The Meg, Deep Blue Sea. The Shallows. Sharknado:rotfl:

Is there much difference between the Dolby Vision and standard HDR.?

watched the 4K disk last night and it is a 10 for me as well

it has never and will never look better

the soundtrack is excellent as well

if you like the film at all and have the kit to take advantage of the picture and audio then it is a definitive no brainer purchase in my view

cant help with that as I used my JVC N5 so watched in HDR10 but is there ever a huge difference between HDR10 and HDR10+/DV? no so much in my view

I’ve had problems on my Oppo 203 - Unknow Disc error - anybody else’s? Great review, although it makes me gutted! Ha

Thanks for the review, completely agree, a big 10 from me.

I had a quick 30min chapter flick last night, keeping it for the weekend.
It looks stunning!

It's on it's way one of my all time favourite films. I've no idea how many times I've watched it from the cinema when it first came out to movie nights in our local club and now my third dip on disc.

Only on Nat Geo:D
Agree about the other shark films.
I appreciate it was cutting edge technology in the day and its a great film, still makes me jump at the right point!

Come on ... a 10 for the movie itself? Must be nostalgia kicking in.

Damn. Must be the disc... no faults for most people with Oppo 203. Thanks for the reply

This was the first movie I ever bought when I got my first DVD player. I got excited just watching the menus over and over.

Time for a triple dip after that and the BR.

There seems to be similar errors in association with other UHD discs when played on OPPO players?
