Need a little advice please, trying to decide between these two, have sound tested both in store(felt the jamo had slightly better sound),but I'm a little worried about recent posts of jamo owners having various small problems,is this everyone or just a few. Also would be grateful for any davsc8 feedback, probs, performance etc.

Only prob I have had with the Jamo is sometimes it ejects the DVD once during a film. I think I have it narrowed down to one of my other remotes is sending some sort of signal to it.

I just turned the remotes around to face the opposite direction and now I have no problem. I think I can live with that :D

The sound performace is tremdous. When I first hooked it up to my Panny Plasma and let it rip with the opening title sequence on X-Men 2 I was blown away.

Makes me always want to watch something which takes advantage of the DTS sound over any other DVDs I have!

That's the reply I was hoping for,now if I can just get past these strange discontinued rumors,my mind will be made up.
Thanks.

To be honest even if they are discontinued (of which we have no conclusive evidence as of yet) the machine is still pretty damn good for the cash. If you can get hold of it.

If you want a machine that pretty much plays any DVD (except for ones where the audio is MPEG), including DIVX, has NTSC and PAL progressive Scan and also has tremdous sound for the size of the speakers, then this is the one I would go for.

Not many, if any, other All in One Systems offer this.

sorry to keep bugging you, couple of last questions, how long have you had yours and are your speakers wall mounted or on stands(does it have to be jamo stands)
cheers for the help.

I have has it about 4-5 weeks.

At the moment, in my current flat, they are on stands I already had. But it is not ideal because if the stand gets knocked the speakers fall off.

In my new place I will either be wall mounting with the brakcets that were supplied with it or purchasing a couple of the Jamo stands I have seen for about £55 a pair.
