His 'interview' with One Direction was just awful. He is so not funny.

Felt the need to get it off my chest. Please wade in to give your views :)

Do you remember when Frank Skinner did it? Sophie Ellis-Bextor presented an award and he greeted he with "why the wide face?" It was quite funny but sooooo misjudged and cringeworthy. Can't believe he did it!

Can't stand Cordon and I refuse to watch anything with him in it. He disgusts me.

Oh yes, I do now you mention it. And his misjudged 'comedy' show. Why is he so popular.

He was good in Gavin and Stacey, but he should leave the live stuff.

I quite like Corden. I 'get' the hate but it's misplaced and misnamed. He's deffo experiencing the famousitis jealousosis condition which afflicts a chunk of the UK population whenever anyone such as he acquires success and all that goes with it. He's won a Tony award for crying out loud; and in his downtime, he wrote a quite good BBC2 sitcom from his Broadway dressing room with Matt Baynton; Gav & Stacey had it's moments and most of us faced with the luminaries at the Brits tonight, if passed a mic and told "Live in...5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." and with millions of people watching would be exceeding expectations if the best we could offer up was a wet patch on the floor. He's a piece of the big ol' quilt of British Talent along with everyone else you or I may or may not like. He's having fun; he's a doting Dad; famous friends; pots of money; I wish nothing but the best for him. Ronnie Barker wasn't funny/epic/memorable all the time either and he's amongst the great pantheon of the Comedy Gods in the sky now (and let's not mention the 'antiques' incident which he forced himself onto Wogan to explain - outcringing anything Corden might do tonight by a long stretch - in HMP Slade).

    Mike.

I actually went to go and see the History Boys by Alan Bennett at the National Theatre before it was commission as a film, had the same cast and of course he was in it but not a name at the time, he must have been pretty young. He was obviously naturally funny even then and stood out, not just because he's massive!

I think he's alright, can be quite funny but as a lot of people get a bit overexposed once they break and you can't move for seeing them somewhere, a few years ago it was Jonathan Ross.

Maybe we've been spoiled by Ross. His material is just as edgey, but more polished.

I used to like Ross but he became tedious for me, always the same old jokes over and over. At first his style was quite freshening after the dry Parkinson (great as he was), part of the fun was big Hollywood stars being taken aback by it all and being childishly exhilarated by being able to swear on British TV but they soon or became accustomed to it and played up to it, everything just felt a bit embarrassing in the end. Still watching soon beautify Hollywood actress nervously sitting next to Johnny Vegas in the green room was fun.

If we're talking chat shows then I went of Ross a while ago. Prefer Graham Norton, he has a better caliber of guests and last weeks GN show with Bill Murray, Matt Damon and that English actor was a hoot.

It seemed like a very contrived act. Made him look like an arse to me.

The Kate Moss/David Bowie thing was surreal. To many people trying to be enigmatic, but just being annoying.

I blame these types of shows, it's a thankless task for any host.
Noisy, poor acoustics, artists and guests getting progressively more drunk or trying to be moody/cool.
    I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.
So, in that respect, if Cordon looked rubbish it serves him right for taking the gig.
In the short time I watched, I felt Gallagher's comment about Bowie not being there summed it up.
"You don't think he'd bother with this s*** do you?"

I think they should've gone Putin top after Javis Cocker stormed the stage while Michael Jackson had those kids in stage.

    I don't like Corden, I can't watch anything he's in.
However, I thought his little spat with Patrick Stewart was brilliant.
I'd have lost my rag if he'd tried that crap with me as well.

I think Patrick Stewart was a bit harsh on him especially with his fat joke and Jonus brother comment... Quite uncalled for.

i dunno. just seemed like a coke-head to me. his facial expressions, the swagger walk the slight gurn.

ive heard him before and seemed ok but this time he was so far up his own arse i think he would form a circle.
