James Bond : General Discussion Thread.

I had to shout hooray when Matthew Sweet on Sound of Cinema introducing some music said:
James Bond normally concerns himself with threats rather more exotic than Custom & Excise like super villains that want to wipe out the population of the earth with orchid juice but in Licence To Kill, the best James Bond of all Timothy Dalton , went up against an international drugs cartal which used submarines to transport cocaine across the world.

Is that you Tom Hardy?
I thought when I read Dark's post Tom had got the role of Bond just imagine a villain interrogating him.
villain: what's your name
Bond:mmmmm
villain: what's your name!
Bond:mmmmm
villain:OK who sent you
Bond think to himself sh*t how do I reply without saying M

Plus points for not having A View to a Kill in the bottom 3 and for giving The Living Daylights well deserved praise (though it clearly isn't the fourth best Bond film) but some of the other positions are presumably just there to create click bait and internet discussion

which worked ;)

Casino Royale should be much higher, as should OHMSS.

But yes, the list is bollocks essentially :rotfl:

Another ratings list to pass the time why we wait for 25

It's a bit all over the show roughly gets some of the bottom ones right but Licence to Kill 18 which I'm surprised not higher or even above Living Daylights albeit Living Daylights is my favorite Bond film, but agree From Russia and Goldfinger in that order are the best Connery Bond Films

This Deep Fake stuff really is trippy. Burt Reynolds was once offered 007, and this is how it might have looked -

Looks like a it still using a lot of Sean face in the Burt one as if in one of those transition pictures from Sean to Burt got stopped half way after doing the eyes and moustache.

Just been on Antiques Roadshow someone with a ratty old har that they said was one of the props that Oddjob had but had to take the metal out and kids had been throwing it round, Also a JB 007 number plate they surmised was used for publicity.
The plates they said a few thousand and the ratty hat 20 to 30 (pounds I was then expecting) then added thousand pounds

gadzooks, for that kind of money I'd want the man himself to come with the hat. And maybe throw in that sexy Lotus from The Spy Who Loved me aswell, for good measure
