This picture was taken whilst waiting for a catamaran trip to Half-Moon Bay on the west coast of Jamaica last month. I've tweaked it a little in Photoshop...curves and saturation.
Looks like a horrible place - white sands, blue sea, hardly anyone there, must have been tough to stay there! Is a good shot but perhaps the tree overwhelms the shot a bit. But still looks like you found a bit of paradise there mate.
andrewdolphin....hi, I stayed at the Riu Negril...the beach in the picture was the other side of Negril. We had a coach journey there to pick up the catamaran. electrolyte and mattb1...thanks for your comments...and yes, it was hard work lazing around on the sunbeds on the beach all day...cocktail in one hand, cigar in the other... Cheers, Clive
andrewdolphin, you were there the same time as me!...we left there on Tues 5th July...you perhaps just arrived? Did you have much rain?...we did...every afternoon!! The trip back on the catamaran was also in a thunderstorm!! Cheers, Clive
We were one week in at that point - assume you were on the Thompson flight out of Gatwick like we were. Rain was fairly predictable and was nice - just to get out of the sun... Of course the week after you left Hurricane Dennis passed by so it clouded over for a couple of days... The mossies out there were pretty nasty..!!
Yeah, the mossies were a pain...I never normally get bitten, but my back was covered in bites!! ...and yes the Thompson flight, although we booked through Portland Direct. Despite the rain though, we all had a great time!! Cheers, Clive
