Last Friday I ordered a lens. according to Jacobs web site it was in stock. We were told it would be 2 to 5 days delivery. On Tuesday I phoned up to find when it would be with me & was told it had not been sent off. They went on to say they had none in stock. Then I was told they had a returned one that was unopened as the person refused delivery. (they had probably died whilst waiting). They said I could have that one and assured me it is brand new unopened. They said they sent an email to me saying the lens was not in stock. They did not send an email, we did not receive one. Low and behold a little while after the phone call, an email came in saying the lens was out of stock. Then a few minutes later another email said the lens had been sent off. It said your tracking order number is ). (thats how it read). So I contacted them today to find out what the tracking number is, & was told it would not be available until the lens was in my area. I've always been able to track goods from the original destination, on everything I've ordered in the past, & thats a LOT. Now I've been told I won't receive it today & it might be Thursday or Friday. Yesterday I was told there were none of these lenses in stock yet the web site said it was in stock. How does a company survive with poor service like this when A.J Purdy go bust with excellent service.
